Classes offered by Herbly Wonderful

1. Herbs for your Health and Stress Relief - This talk is about culinary herbs that are good for your health and how they can help with the heart, diets, stress, diabetes, etc.

2. Growing a Cut Flower Garden - This class teaches what flowers are good to grow in your garden and how to cut them.  It also teaches you how to arrange a bouquet or centerpiece.

3. Herbal Luncheon - (Only offered during our Herb Festival July 11th and 12th) We will serve you a nice lunch in which everything contains herbs, then we will quiz you at the end as to what herbs you think are in each dish.  We will then share the recipes and tips for making them with you. (If you do want to join this we are limited to 50 seats per day.  Reserve your seat early)

4. Creating a Living Wreath/Topiary - This class will teach you how to make these living creations, and how to care for them.  You can create one with our help after the demo if you chose to purchase one.

5. General Herb Talk -  We discuss the growing and uses of culinary herbs as well as a few medicinal uses.  We'll also touch on the most common bug and disease problems and their natural solutions.  Lastly, if time permits, we will discuss edible flowers and their varieties and tastes.

6. Growing Herbs & Cooking with Kids - Get the kids out of the house and have them come learn how to grow herbs, why to grow herbs, and how to use them for fun, food and entertainment.  This is a great class for kids to do with parents, grandparents and friends.  Kids under 10 are required to bring an adult.

7. Creating a Fresh/Dried Herb & Flower Wreath - During this hands-on class, you will make a wreath using fresh herbs and flowers, and then we will teach you how to dry this creation and enjoy it in your home for many years. (During our herb festival we offer a special variation of this in which participants will cut lavender from our fields and and make a lavender wreath.

8. Creating & Planting Vibrant Mixed Containers - Learn how to combine plants and color in various containers for your home and garden.  Bring your own container or chose one of ours to build a beautiful container garden to take home with you.  (Additional containers are also welcome for just the cost of the plants.  Our experts will assist you if needed.  Remember to leave extra time.)

9. Culinary Herbal Creations - Come learn how to make easy, flavorful culinary creations using simple herbs that you grow in your house or garden.

10. Organically Growing & Using Heirloom Vegetables - Learn what an Heirloom vegetable is and what makes them different.  We'll teach you how to grow them organically so you can enjoy the most flavorful, mouthwatering foods.

11. Creating an Herb/Flower Garden - Come join us as we teach you the simple easy ways to design and create a beautiful herb and flower landscape.  The dos and don'ts of planning and implementing a garden design for a successful experience.

12. Preserving your Harvest of Herbs, Flowers & Vegetables - It is time to look at the bountiful harvest of all that you have grown throughout the season.  We will give you ideas and methods for preserving all these beautiful vegetables, flowers and herbs.  You'll learn lots of projects to use them up throughout the winter months.

13. Making Essential Household Creations - Learn about using culinary herbs for all sorts of everyday household uses, from the kitchen, to the bath, to the laundry and beyond.  After hearing about a wide variety of herbs and their uses you will get to make a few herbal creations to take home.
